Dersin AmacıDers, özellikle Türk dış politikasında ortaya çıkan güncel gelişmelerin, güvenlik, kimlik ve sistem temelinde değerlendirmesini yapmayı amaçlamaktadır. Aynı zamanda kimlik ve jeopolitik kavramlarına, şekillendiren ve etki eden aktörlere, tarihsel süreçlere ve onların altında yatan faktörlere işaret ederek Türk dış politikası üzerine detaylı çalışmalar yapmak üzere tasarlanmıştır. Bunlarla birlikte dış politika yapım sürecini analiz etmeyi ve Türk dış politikasına tematik konular ve bölgeler bağlamında yeni bir bakış açısı sunmayı amaçlamaktadır.
Dersin İçeriğiTürk Dış Politikasında 1990’lardan günümüze kadar ortaya çıkan gelişmelerin sistem, uluslararası, ve bölgesel düzeyde değerlendirilmesi. Bu değerlendirmelerin uluslararası ilişkiler teorilerinden realism, liberalism, constructivism ve kimlik açısından ele alınması dersin önemli bir kısmını oluşturacaktır.
